The shells of our drums have been variously woodburned and/or stained with inks, dyes & acrylics, to create unique, one-of-a-kind drums. The heads are made from deer rawhide that has been specifically treated for use in drum making, without the use of bleach & other harsh chemicals which weaken the hide. When stretched, the hide produces a beautiful & surprisingly rich tone. Gourd drums are surprisingly light, weighing on average 5 lb or less.

Item# 06-62 12" Goblet Drum. This drum has been dyed with green & tan leather dyes and accented with a colorful wrap around the rings. The interior has been sealed with epoxy resin to give the gourd strength & durability. If desired, this drum could have a tuning string added. It is intended to be used as a hand drum. Made by L. Long necked Goblet Drum .This drum has been embellished with deep, multihued leather dyes and sealed with a UV inhibitor.The earthy red & blue tones are a perfet complete to the natural colors of the drum head, which is made of deer rawhide.
